Priory Elements EcoLabels™ were designed and created completely phenol-free – unlike regular thermal labels which contain a harmful BPA top coating, our phenol free thermal labels use an all-natural vitamin C topcoat instead. Don’t worry, they still offer the same premium quality print and colour as regular thermal labels, just without the harmful chemicals - what;s not to like.
The ultimate eco-friendly choice for shipping your goods via courier or pallet delivery, our Priory Elements EcoLabels™ offer a cost-effective and sustainable alternative that are suitable for direct thermal and water-based flexography. Plus, they are compatible with a wide range of printers for efficiency, and they have a high tack, durable adhesion for sticking to a range of packaging materials.
As with all products across the Priory Elements™ ranges, 1% of the sale is donated to eco charities with every order - saving the planet, once parcel at a time.
Why choose thermal labels? With no need for ink, there’s no risk of smudging – instead, thermal labels heat up and thermally transfer all the information you need straight onto the label. They are efficient, accurate, and both more economical and more reliable than regular printer labels.
Can thermal labels be recycled? No, regular thermal labels cannot be recycled, but our EcoLabels™ can be. They are plastic-free, fully recyclable, and made from sustainable FSC Mix Credit paper, and the honey glassine backing paper is sustainable too. As honey glassine is commonly made using wood pulp, your customers can easily recycle these eco-friendly thermal labels alongside any other paper waste.
If you’re still undecided on whether eco-friendly thermal labels are right for you, find out more about all things EcoLabels™, or why regular thermal labels might not be as environmentally friendly as you think.
What is BPA? What does BPA free mean?BPA is a synthetic chemical that makes up the coating of a thermal labels. It stands for Bisphenol A and is well known for making certain plastics and resins. If you’ve seen something that says BPA-free, like reusable plastic bottles or containers, it means there are no phenol chemicals used in making them. So, why are they bad? and what effect do they have on us and the environment? We’ve got the answers.
